ARTIST STATEMENT
My capstone project is focused on creating a fragrance brand dedicated to promoting inclusivity and challenging gender stereotypes by producing scents specifically tailored for the LGBTQ+ community that strike a balance between feminine and masculine. The first fragrance, “Main Character,” is designed to instill confidence in the wearer, making them feel like the hero of their own story. The spicy, woody scent begins with a burst of zesty bergamot and ginger, followed by a heart of tobacco leaf, cannabis, and peony, and finishes with a sweet blend of vanilla, sandalwood, and palo santo.
