ARTIST STATEMENT
This collection aims to merge the concepts of ready-to-wear and avant-garde to increase the wearability of intricate pieces. The inspiration behind it is La Catrina, a significant Mexican character who inspires the incorporation of vibrant colours and fabric manipulation, such as fabric painting and laser cutting. This collection serves as an ode to the designer’s background and culture.
