ARTIST STATEMENT
Within Cells Interlinked is an installation of three connected yet separate pieces. The art represents progression in a woman’s journey inside creative studies – it is not fraud or luck. It is ability. My installation is a physical manifestation of what womanhood, resilience, and self-esteem look and feel like. Womanhood is in the silhouettes, placement, and webbing. Resilience is the broken structures, bleeding hearts. and posture. Self-Esteem is the wire, beading, and jewels. To make sense of it all is to pay attention to the details. We are connected – We are interlinked.
