ARTIST STATEMENT
I find a lot of inspiration in magazines and their power to move fashion forward. With the insurgence of digital fashion and tech on the rise, technology is an important variable to explore and magazines are the perfect medium to do it. I chose to pair this magazine with an encompassing AR filter to drive the impact of a future of digital fashion further. HUMANE draws on concepts of the bodies’ role in fashion, as well as Richard Serra’s art philosophy and installation art’s impact on fashion weeks and high fashion shows to bring together the question of; how far can we remove the utility from fashion?
