ARTIST STATEMENT
The Revised Game of Life was inspired by the first version of the popular game from 1860. This version included positive milestones as well as dark aspects that life entails. Kennedy Felt found inspiration from reflecting on life in his twenties and how the progression of life has changed. Adapting the original game of life allowed the artist to communicate how life is a game, how significant life events affect one’s progression in life, as well as how life stages and the order they occur are different for each person that plays the game of life. This project was intended to reflect the artist’s personal life experiences but also hopes to be relatable and affirming to others struggling.
