ARTIST STATEMENT
Anti Fashion is a project that aims to critique, discuss, examine and the fashion industry from the lens of a fashion enthusiast. I have always been super passionate about sustainability and ethics and I wanted to use this project to explore different forms of fashion as well as subversion from the mainstream fashion industry. Taking place in the form of a podcast and an accompanying zine my project includes discussions of politics, social issues, capitalism, culture, and current fashion news. My ultimate Goal for this project is to create a space for meaningful conversations about subverting fashion in relation to sustainability and ethics and to break down larger issues in the industry and make them more digestible for listeners in an informative matter.
