ARTIST STATEMENT
My collection is a womenswear collection inspired by fantasy elements present in both game, anime, and cosplay-creation. A combination of fashion and fairytales. Whimsical and unique, this collection shows a variety of colours, aesthetics and silhouettes where no one outfit has the same impression as the other. Although they aren’t practical for everyday wear, this collection was made to show that one can still have a bit of fun mixed in with creativity, creating pieces that can bring a sense of familiarity and joy. In my case, linking a certain game (Genshin Impact) to my creative process. Each outfit was constructed with a different character and/or environment in mind, allowing for a variety of combinations that could call out to different people.
Ultimately this collection was made to show a sense of happiness and creativity, while also incorporating something fun into my skills in fashion design.
